Makeshift Umbrella

imminent |ˈimənənt|
adjective
1 about to happen.
2 (archaic) overhanging.
Description: Two symmetrical columnar elements evoke a portal establishing a frontal orientation against the north glass wall of the gallery. Solid rubber cord, initially ordered and ruled, emerge from two strategically cut holes in the ceiling fraying and dropping loose bundles of tentacles from a plenum space within the ceiling. Within the confines of the gallery, Dionysian chaos, channeled through the initiative of feral geometry produces an uneasy zoomorphic presence. The tendrils run across the floor of the gallery occupying and scoring the ground plane.
